Top 3 jQuery plugins for Web Designers & Developers
- Category: web development
Hello all,
Being a senior web developer here at Noam Design, I’ve had extensive experience using jQuery – the most powerful open source javaScript library out there. Below is my selection of the 3 most basic (but useful) jQuery plugins that could make your developer’s life easier, and make your website much richer. First, let me tell you a little bit about my background… I wrote a book about Ajax programming and for almost 2 years I have been using jQuery in nearly all the projects I worked on here at Noam Design. jQuery helped me create cutting edge effects in website and tremendously enhance their user experience factor. In the last couple of years, jQuery became the most widely used JavaScript framework, and its success is still growing . Today, Microsoft is considering embedding jQuery with its Visual Studio platform.
Ok, back to the plugins… jQuery plugins, and the framework itself, have a wide range of applications, from simple form validation to complex algorithms and the creation of fancy visual effects (so smooth they are often mistaken for Flash).
Having said so, check out the list below with the 3 top basic jQuery plugins that can boost your website.
1. jQuery Easing Plugin – visit website
This plugin will help you create slide motion effects for you website and make panel transitions quite unique.
2. jQuery UI/Accordion – visit website
This visual control is particularly interesting when you don’t have enough space in the page. So you can use its “drawers” to create the space.
3. jCarousel – visit website
This plugin is a great add on for any website with small image thumbnails that you need to show. They will rotate like a carousel.
I hope you enjoyed my selection and I would really appreciate your comments about it. Tell us what is your top 3 plugins selection! I will keep posting articles on this blog so stay tuned.
All the best,
Fernando
