The Best Approach In A Creative Business Is Based On Flexibility

Web Design ApproachRecently, one of our clients asked me how is it possible for us to make major business/vendor decisions without submitting a web design proposal, document or contract stating the scope and assumptions of the project? Here are some extracts from my reply:

Our approach is based on flexibility, trust, professionalism, and creativity. We do the best in this industry and our work speaks for itself – and that’s thanks to our unique creative approach that minimizes paperwork and maximizes the actual design and development process.

We do sign a general contract of service before getting started, and we require a small deposit that covers the first week of work or so. We then generate invoices on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on how much work is being done. That’s pretty straight forward and clients don’t have to commit to more than the initial deposit. If the project scope changes (grows or shrinks) as it is expected in any creative project, we have the flexibility to adjust without having to draft a new agreement, change the project’s budget, discuss prices, etc… It’s much better for both sides to work on a creative project in a flexible manner based on trust. So clients have to decide whether or not they think Noam Design is a good fit for their project based on our reputation, work, philosophy, methodology, and attitude – not based on a proposal document.

That’s how we dealt with hundreds of clients and have successfully completed literally thousands of outstanding websites and web applications – many of them won web design awards.

Trust and flexibility are sadly lacking in a lot of business practices. It is refreshing to see a company that puts more weight on building good customer relations than proposals.
